Description

A comforting dessert featuring tender apples, warm cozy spices, and a rich buttery caramel glaze that sinks into every bite—simple, nostalgic, and totally irresistible.

Ingredients

  • 4 large apples (such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • Vanilla ice cream, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, toss apple slices with granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until evenly coated. Spread mixture in the prepared baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, oats, and brown sugar. Add cold cubed butter and use your fingers or a pastry cutter to mix until crumbly.
  4. Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the apples. Drizzle caramel sauce over the top.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until topping is golden brown and apples are tender. Let cool slightly before serving.
  6. Serve warm, optionally topped with vanilla ice cream.
