Ingredients
- 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil, plus more for drizzling
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 cup water (or as needed for consistency)
- 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1/4 cup Kalamata olives, halved
- 1/4 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
- 1 tablespoon capers (optional)
- Paprika for garnish
Instructions
- In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, cumin, and salt. Blend until smooth, adding water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.
- Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl or plate, spreading it evenly.
- Top with feta cheese, olives, cherry tomatoes, parsley, dill, and capers if using.
- Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with paprika.
- Serve immediately with pita bread, crackers, or fresh vegetables.
Notes
You can customize the seasonings to taste. For a smokier flavor, try adding a pinch of smoked paprika to the hummus.
