Description
A classic Greek salad made with ripe tomatoes, crisp cucumber, red onion, Kalamata olives, and tangy feta cheese, all dressed in a simple lemon-oregano vinaigrette.
Ingredients
- 3 large ripe tomatoes, cut into wedges
- 1 English cucumber, halved and sliced
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup Kalamata olives
- 4 ounces feta cheese, cut into thick slices or cubes
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Arrange tomato wedges, cucumber slices, red onion, and Kalamata olives on a large plate or shallow bowl.
- Top with feta cheese slices.
- In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Drizzle the dressing over the salad and serve immediately.
Notes
You can customize the seasonings to taste. For a more authentic touch, add a pinch of dried mint or capers.
