Description

A decadent dessert bar with a buttery graham cracker crust, a gooey caramel and chocolate layer, and a crunchy topping.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel sauce or dulce de leche
  • 1 cup crispy rice cereal
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs with melted butter until combined. Press firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the crust. Pour caramel sauce over the chocolate chips, spreading gently.
  4. In a small bowl, toss crispy rice cereal (and nuts if using) together. Sprinkle evenly over the caramel layer.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until edges are bubbly and topping is lightly golden. Let cool completely before cutting into bars.
