Description
A rich and creamy pasta dish featuring tender chicken, garlic, Parmesan, and a spicy Cajun kick. Perfect for a comforting dinner that packs heat.
Ingredients
- 8 oz spaghetti
- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced thin
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook spaghetti according to package directions; drain and set aside.
- Season chicken slices with 1 tsp Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken until golden and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Reduce heat to medium. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to scrape up browned bits.
- Add remaining Cajun seasoning, red pepper flakes, and Parmesan cheese. Stir until cheese melts and sauce thickens, about 3-4 minutes. Taste and adjust salt/pepper.
- Return chicken to the skillet. Add cooked spaghetti and toss to coat evenly. Cook for 1-2 minutes until heated through.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.
Notes
You can customize the seasonings to taste. For less heat, reduce red pepper flakes or use mild Cajun seasoning. For more heat, add a dash of hot sauce.
