Description

A delightful sweet and savory dessert featuring ripe pears baked with tart cranberries, crunchy walnuts, and creamy blue cheese, all drizzled with honey for a perfect finish.

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe but firm pears, halved and cored
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Arrange pear halves cut-side up in a baking dish just large enough to hold them.
  3. In a small bowl, mix cranberries, walnuts, blue cheese, and honey until combined.
  4. Spoon the cranberry mixture evenly over each pear half.
  5. Drizzle melted butter over the top and sprinkle with cinnamon if desired.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until pears are tender and filling is bubbly.
  7. Serve warm, optionally with extra honey or vanilla ice cream.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste. For a less tart version, reduce cranberries or add a tablespoon of brown sugar.
