Description
A festive and elegant appetizer featuring toasted baguette slices topped with melted brie, tangy cranberry sauce, crunchy walnuts, and a drizzle of spicy hot honey.
Ingredients
- 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch thick pieces
- 8 oz brie cheese, rind removed and sliced
- 1/2 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- 1/2 cup walnuts, roughly chopped and toasted
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh thyme leaves for garnish
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet, brush lightly with olive oil, and toast for 8-10 minutes until golden and crisp.
- While toasting, combine honey and red pepper flakes in a small saucepan over low heat. Warm for 3-4 minutes until fragrant, then remove from heat to infuse.
- Top each toasted crostini with a slice of brie. Return to oven for 3-4 minutes until brie is soft and slightly melted.
- Remove from oven and spoon a small amount of cranberry sauce over each brie slice. Sprinkle with toasted walnuts.
- Drizzle each crostini with hot honey, garnish with fresh thyme, and season with a pinch of salt and black pepper. Serve immediately.
