A simple, no-knead sourdough bread recipe perfect for beginners, yielding a crusty, flavorful artisan loaf with minimal effort.
Ingredients
- 500g bread flour
- 350g water
- 100g active sourdough starter
- 10g salt
- Rice flour for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the bread flour, water, and sourdough starter until no dry flour remains. Cover and let rest for 30 minutes.
- Add the salt and mix until fully incorporated. Stretch and fold the dough every 30 minutes for 2 hours, then let it rise at room temperature for 8-12 hours until doubled in size.
- Shape the dough into a round loaf, place it seam-side up in a floured banneton or bowl, and refrigerate for 1-2 hours. Preheat a Dutch oven at 450°F (230°C) for 30 minutes. Bake covered for 20 minutes, then uncovered for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
