Ingredients
- 1 lb sea scallops, patted dry
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- For the sauce:
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon lime zest
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together lime juice, cilantro, honey, garlic, olive oil, lime zest, and salt to make the sauce. Set aside.
- Season the scallops with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add scallops in a single layer; cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove scallops from skillet and drizzle with the lime cilantro sauce. Serve immediately.
Notes
You can customize the seasonings to taste. For extra heat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
