Ingredients

  • 1 lb sea scallops, patted dry
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)


Instructions

  1. Season scallops with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat until shimmering.
  3. Add scallops in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together lime juice, cilantro, garlic, honey, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  5. Remove scallops from skillet, drizzle sauce over them, and serve immediately.
