Description
Perfectly seared scallops with a bright and tangy lime cilantro sauce. A quick yet elegant dish ideal for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 lb large sea scallops
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 tbsp honey
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Pat scallops dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat until shimmering.
- Add scallops in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown. Remove and keep warm.
- Reduce heat to medium, add butter and garlic, cooking for 1 minute.
- Stir in lime juice, cilantro, and honey. Simmer for 2 minutes.
- Return scallops to the skillet, toss to coat in the sauce, and serve immediately.
