Description

Perfectly seared scallops with a bright and tangy lime cilantro sauce. A quick yet elegant dish ideal for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb large sea scallops
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Pat scallops dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat until shimmering.
  3. Add scallops in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown. Remove and keep warm.
  4. Reduce heat to medium, add butter and garlic, cooking for 1 minute.
  5. Stir in lime juice, cilantro, and honey. Simmer for 2 minutes.
  6. Return scallops to the skillet, toss to coat in the sauce, and serve immediately.
