Description

Pan-seared scallops served with a bright, tangy lime cilantro sauce, perfect for a quick yet elegant meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb large sea scallops, patted dry
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp honey or agave
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes


Instructions

  1. Season scallops with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add scallops and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. While scallops cook, whisk together cilantro, lime juice, garlic, extra virgin olive oil, honey, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl.
  4. Transfer scallops to a plate and drizzle with the zesty lime cilantro sauce. Serve immediately.
