Pan-seared scallops served with a bright, tangy lime cilantro sauce, perfect for a quick yet elegant meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb large sea scallops, patted dry
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp honey or agave
- Pinch of red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Season scallops with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add scallops and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
- While scallops cook, whisk together cilantro, lime juice, garlic, extra virgin olive oil, honey, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl.
- Transfer scallops to a plate and drizzle with the zesty lime cilantro sauce. Serve immediately.
