Description

A hearty and flavorful breakfast casserole with savory sausage, melted cheese, and a creamy egg base, perfect for feeding a crowd or meal prepping.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup diced bell pepper
  • 4 slices bread, cubed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until well combined.
  3. Stir in cooked sausage, diced onion, bell pepper, bread cubes, and half of the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.
  4. Pour mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. Top with remaining cheeses and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is golden brown.
  7. Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
