Description

A quick and flavorful side dish featuring tender spinach and earthy mushrooms sautéed with garlic. Perfect with grilled meats or as a light vegetarian main.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 10 ounces fresh spinach
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  2. Add sliced mushrooms and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they release their liquid and begin to brown.
  3. Add fresh spinach in batches, stirring until wilted. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. If desired, drizzle with lemon juice and toss before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste. Add red pepper flakes for heat or grated Parmesan for extra flavor.
