Description
Creamy brie cheese is coated in crunchy pistachios, baked until warm and gooey, then drizzled with a sweet-tart raspberry honey glaze. These elegant bite-sized appetizers are perfect for parties and gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 wheel (8 ounces) Brie cheese, chilled
- 1 cup shelled pistachios, finely chopped
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup seedless raspberry jam
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- Fresh raspberries and mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut the chilled Brie into 1-inch cubes. You should get about 12-16 bites.
- Place flour in a small bowl. Dip each Brie cube into the flour, shaking off excess. Then dip into the beaten egg, and roll in the chopped pistachios, pressing gently to adhere.
- Place the coated Brie bites on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes, until the cheese is soft and the coating is lightly golden.
- Meanwhile, make the glaze: In a small saucepan, combine raspberry jam, honey, and balsamic vinegar. Heat over medium-low, stirring until smooth and slightly thickened, about 3-4 minutes.
- Remove Brie bites from oven and let cool for 2 minutes. Drizzle with the raspberry honey glaze. Garnish with fresh raspberries and mint if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
You can customize the seasonings to taste. For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the pistachio coating.
