Description
Elegant and easy appetizer featuring creamy Brie cheese coated in crunchy pistachios, baked until warm, and drizzled with a sweet and tangy raspberry honey glaze.
Ingredients
- 1 wheel of Brie cheese (8 oz), cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1/2 cup shelled pistachios, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1/4 cup seedless raspberry jam
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh raspberries and mint leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Set up a breading station: Place flour in a shallow dish. In another dish, mix beaten egg with water. In a third dish, combine chopped pistachios with a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Coat each Brie cube first in flour, then dip in the egg mixture, and finally roll in the pistachios, pressing gently to adhere. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, until the cheese is soft and the coating is golden. Remove from oven and let cool for 2 minutes.
- While the Brie bakes, make the glaze: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine raspberry jam, honey, and balsamic vinegar (if using). Stir until melted and smooth, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Arrange warm Brie bites on a serving platter. Drizzle generously with the raspberry honey glaze. Garnish with fresh raspberries and mint leaves. Serve immediately.
Notes
You can customize the seasonings to taste. For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the pistachio coating.
