Description

Elegant and easy appetizer featuring creamy Brie cheese coated in crunchy pistachios, baked until warm, and drizzled with a sweet and tangy raspberry honey glaze.

Ingredients

  • 1 wheel of Brie cheese (8 oz), cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup shelled pistachios, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1/4 cup seedless raspberry jam
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh raspberries and mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Set up a breading station: Place flour in a shallow dish. In another dish, mix beaten egg with water. In a third dish, combine chopped pistachios with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  3. Coat each Brie cube first in flour, then dip in the egg mixture, and finally roll in the pistachios, pressing gently to adhere. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 8-10 minutes, until the cheese is soft and the coating is golden. Remove from oven and let cool for 2 minutes.
  5. While the Brie bakes, make the glaze: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine raspberry jam, honey, and balsamic vinegar (if using). Stir until melted and smooth, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.
  6. Arrange warm Brie bites on a serving platter. Drizzle generously with the raspberry honey glaze. Garnish with fresh raspberries and mint leaves. Serve immediately.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste. For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the pistachio coating.
