Description

Soft and chewy cookies bursting with refreshing mint flavor and rich chocolate chips, perfect for a sweet treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
  • Green food coloring (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, vanilla extract, and peppermint extract. Add green food coloring if desired.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
  4. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Let cool on sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
