Description

These soft, tender cookies are bursting with sweet strawberry flavor and have a delightful melt-in-your-mouth texture, perfect for dessert or a sweet treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup freeze-dried strawberries, finely crushed
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, crushed freeze-dried strawberries, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate large bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined and a soft dough forms.
  5. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar if desired before serving.
