A quick and flavorful wrap featuring spiced ground beef, fresh vegetables, and creamy whipped feta, all tucked into warm pita bread for a satisfying Mediterranean-inspired meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 4 large pita bread rounds
- 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 cup diced cucumber
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/4 cup sliced red onion
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Stir in cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant, then remove from heat.
- In a food processor, combine feta cheese, Greek yogurt, and lemon juice. Blend until smooth and creamy to make the whipped feta. Set aside.
- Warm the pita bread in a dry skillet or microwave for 30 seconds. Spread a generous layer of whipped feta on each pita, top with the seasoned ground beef, cucumber, tomatoes, red onion, and parsley. Fold or roll to serve.
