A rich and indulgent pasta dish featuring tender chicken in a creamy garlic parmesan sauce, perfect for a special occasion or cozy dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper, then cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
- Bring the sauce to a simmer, then reduce heat to low. Stir in grated parmesan cheese, dried oregano, and red pepper flakes until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and add the drained pasta. Toss everything together until well coated in the sauce. Cook for 2-3 minutes to heat through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
