A moist and decadent banana cake studded with crunchy walnuts and drizzled with rich caramel sauce, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce, plus extra for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in mashed bananas and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour and baking soda. Gradually add to wet ingredients, alternating with milk, mixing until just combined. Fold in chopped walnuts.
- Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- Once cooled, drizzle with caramel sauce. Serve slices with extra caramel and walnuts if desired.
