Description

A moist and decadent banana cake studded with crunchy walnuts and drizzled with rich caramel sauce, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce, plus extra for drizzling


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in mashed bananas and vanilla.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk flour and baking soda. Gradually add to wet ingredients, alternating with milk, mixing until just combined. Fold in chopped walnuts.
  4. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  5. Once cooled, drizzle with caramel sauce. Serve slices with extra caramel and walnuts if desired.
