Description

A moist and decadent cake packed with ripe bananas, crunchy walnuts, and a rich caramel drizzle, perfect for dessert or a sweet treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce, for drizzling


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in mashed bananas, buttermilk, and vanilla.
  4. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in chopped walnuts.
  5. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Let cake cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.
