Description

Juicy, herb-infused chicken meatballs served with a creamy, refreshing homemade tzatziki sauce, perfect for a light and flavorful Mediterranean-inspired meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • For the Tzatziki: 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cucumber, grated and squeezed dry
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, red onion, garlic, parsley, oregano, cumin, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs, placing them on a plate or baking sheet.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through.
  4. While meatballs cook, prepare tzatziki by mixing Greek yogurt, cucumber, dill, garlic, lemon juice, and salt in a bowl. Chill until ready to serve.
  5. Serve meatballs warm with tzatziki sauce on the side, optionally with pita bread or a Greek salad.
