Description

Crispy, golden puff pastry rolls filled with creamy feta cheese, baked to perfection and drizzled with a sweet and tangy cranberry honey sauce. An elegant appetizer or snack that combines savory and sweet flavors.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 6 ounces feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix crumbled feta, cream cheese, dill, and black pepper until well combined.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet into a 12×12 inch square. Cut into 4 equal rectangles.
  4. Place a quarter of the feta mixture along one long edge of each rectangle. Roll up tightly, tucking in the sides, and place seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  5. Brush each roll with beaten egg wash. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden and puffed.
  6. While rolls bake, make the cranberry honey: In a small saucepan, combine honey, cranberries, and water. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until cranberries soften and sauce thickens slightly (about 5-7 minutes). Remove from heat and stir in melted butter.
  7. Remove rolls from oven and let cool slightly. Drizzle or spoon the cranberry honey over the warm rolls. Serve immediately.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste. For a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the feta mixture. Cranberry honey can be made ahead and gently reheated.
