Description
A decadent, creamy, and spicy Cajun-inspired pasta dish featuring tender chicken, savory Parmesan, and a kick of garlic and cayenne. Perfect for a weeknight dinner that feels indulgent.
Ingredients
- 8 oz spaghetti
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Season chicken pieces with 1/2 tbsp Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Cook chicken until golden and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Stir in remaining Cajun seasoning, cayenne pepper, paprika, and salt/pepper.
- Gradually whisk in Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and thickened.
- Return chicken to the skillet, then add cooked spaghetti. Toss well to coat everything in the sauce.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
You can customize the seasonings to taste. For extra heat, add more cayenne or sliced jalapeños. For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
