A savory flatbread topped with garlic butter seasoned ground beef, creamy whipped feta, and a drizzle of sweet heat honey for a perfect balance of flavors.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 4 flatbreads (such as naan or pita)
- 8 ounces feta cheese, crumbled
- 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (or to taste)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place flatbreads on a baking sheet and bake for 5 minutes until slightly crisp.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Add ground beef, smoked paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 8 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
- In a food processor, combine feta cheese, Greek yogurt, and olive oil. Blend until smooth and creamy. Spread whipped feta evenly over the baked flatbreads.
- Top flatbreads with the garlic butter ground beef mixture.
- In a small bowl, mix honey with red pepper flakes. Drizzle the sweet heat honey over the flatbreads. Garnish with chopped parsley.
- Return to oven for 2-3 minutes to warm through. Serve immediately.
