Description

Tender sea scallops baked in a rich garlic butter sauce with a hint of lemon and herbs, creating an elegant and easy seafood dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh sea scallops, patted dry
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional for topping)
  • Lemon wedges for serving


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  3. Arrange scallops in a single layer in the baking dish and pour the garlic butter mixture over them.
  4. Sprinkle breadcrumbs evenly over the top if using for a crispy texture.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes until scallops are opaque and cooked through.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately with lemon wedges.
