Description

A festive and elegant appetizer featuring buttery puff pastry topped with creamy brie, tart cranberries, and crunchy toasted walnuts, perfect for holiday gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 8 oz brie cheese, rind removed and cubed
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, toasted and roughly chopped
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Fresh thyme leaves for garnish
  • Salt and black pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface to about 1/8-inch thickness. Transfer to the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Arrange the brie cubes evenly over the pastry, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges. Sprinkle with cranberries and toasted walnuts. Drizzle with honey and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Fold the edges of the pastry inward to create a rustic crust. Brush the edges with the beaten egg wash.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes.
  6. Garnish with fresh thyme leaves, slice, and serve warm.
