Description
Crispy, tangy feta bites coated in crushed pistachios, served with a warm blackberry honey sauce that’s sweet, fruity, and perfect for dipping.
Ingredients
- 8 oz block feta cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1/2 cup shelled pistachios, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup fresh or frozen blackberries
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Place the feta cubes on a paper towel-lined plate and let them dry for 10 minutes to remove excess moisture.
- Set up a breading station: one bowl with flour, one with beaten egg, and one with chopped pistachios.
- Dip each feta cube into flour, shaking off excess, then into egg, then roll in pistachios to coat evenly.
- Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the coated feta bites and cook 2-3 minutes per side until golden and crisp. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- In a small saucepan, combine blackberries, honey, and lemon juice. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until berries soften and sauce thickens slightly (about 5 minutes).
- Serve the warm feta bites with the warm blackberry honey drizzled on top or on the side for dipping.
