Description

These crispy roasted sweet potato wedges are perfectly seasoned, baked until golden and tender, then topped with tangy feta cheese and a spicy-sweet hot honey drizzle. An irresistible side dish or appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 2 large sweet potatoes, scrubbed and cut into 1-inch wedges
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (or to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, toss sweet potato wedges with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Arrange wedges in a single layer on prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each for crispiness.
  4. Roast for 20 minutes, then flip wedges and continue roasting for 10-15 minutes more, until golden brown and crispy on edges.
  5. While wedges roast, make hot honey: In a small saucepan over low heat, combine honey and red pepper flakes. Stir for 1-2 minutes until warm and fragrant. Remove from heat.
  6. Transfer roasted wedges to a serving platter. Sprinkle crumbled feta on top, then drizzle with hot honey. Garnish with parsley if using. Serve immediately.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste. For extra heat, increase red pepper flakes in the hot honey or add a pinch of cayenne with the spices.
