Description

Perfectly crispy oven-roasted sweet potato wedges topped with tangy crumbled feta cheese and finished with a spicy-sweet hot honey drizzle. These make an irresistible side dish or appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 2 large sweet potatoes, scrubbed and cut into wedges
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (or to taste)
  • Fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, toss sweet potato wedges with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Arrange wedges in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are not overcrowded for maximum crispiness.
  4. Roast for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and tender.
  5. While wedges roast, prepare hot honey: combine honey and red pepper flakes in a small saucepan. Warm over low heat for 2–3 minutes, then set aside.
  6. Transfer roasted wedges to a serving platter. Sprinkle crumbled feta evenly over the top, then drizzle with the hot honey.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley or cilantro if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste. For extra heat, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the spice mix. The hot honey can be made in advance and stored in an airtight container.
