Description
Perfectly crispy oven-roasted sweet potato wedges topped with tangy crumbled feta cheese and finished with a spicy-sweet hot honey drizzle. These make an irresistible side dish or appetizer.
Ingredients
- 2 large sweet potatoes, scrubbed and cut into wedges
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (or to taste)
- Fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, toss sweet potato wedges with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
- Arrange wedges in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are not overcrowded for maximum crispiness.
- Roast for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and tender.
- While wedges roast, prepare hot honey: combine honey and red pepper flakes in a small saucepan. Warm over low heat for 2–3 minutes, then set aside.
- Transfer roasted wedges to a serving platter. Sprinkle crumbled feta evenly over the top, then drizzle with the hot honey.
- Garnish with fresh parsley or cilantro if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
You can customize the seasonings to taste. For extra heat, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the spice mix. The hot honey can be made in advance and stored in an airtight container.
