Description

A delightful appetizer featuring tender artichoke hearts coated in a crispy, cheesy Parmesan crust, baked to golden perfection.


Ingredients

  • 2 cans (14 oz each) artichoke hearts, drained and halved
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • Cooking spray or olive oil spray


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly spray with cooking spray.
  2. In a shallow bowl, combine the grated Parmesan, panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the beaten eggs in another shallow bowl. Dip each artichoke heart half into the egg, then coat with the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  4. Arrange the coated artichoke hearts on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer. Lightly spray the tops with cooking spray for extra crispiness.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste. For added heat, mix in a pinch of cayenne pepper with the breadcrumb mixture. Serve with marinara or aioli for dipping.
