Description
Crispy baked chicken tenders coated in a zesty lemon-feta crust, finished with a sweet and spicy hot honey drizzle.
Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken tenders
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tbsp lemon zest
- 3 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp hot sauce (such as sriracha)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp olive oil (for drizzling)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a shallow bowl, combine flour, panko, feta, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, whisk eggs with lemon zest until frothy.
- Dip each chicken tender into the egg mixture, then coat with the feta-panko mixture, pressing firmly.
- Place tenders on the prepared baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy (internal temp 165°F).
- While tenders bake, whisk honey, hot sauce, and lemon juice in a small bowl.
- Drizzle the hot honey mixture over the baked chicken tenders and serve immediately.
Notes
You can customize the seasonings to taste. For extra heat, add more hot sauce or a pinch of cayenne to the breading.
