Description
A luxurious and flavorful pasta dish featuring succulent shrimp in a rich, creamy garlic sauce with a hint of spice, served over al dente linguine.
Ingredients
- 8 oz linguine
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Cook linguine according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Season shrimp with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and add garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Add cooked linguine and shrimp to the sauce. Toss to coat evenly. Cook for 1-2 minutes until heated through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
You can customize the seasonings to taste. For extra heat, add more red pepper flakes. Substitute half-and-half for a lighter sauce.
