Description

A luxurious and flavorful pasta dish featuring succulent shrimp in a rich, creamy garlic sauce with a hint of spice, served over al dente linguine.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz linguine
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Cook linguine according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season shrimp with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and add garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  6. Add cooked linguine and shrimp to the sauce. Toss to coat evenly. Cook for 1-2 minutes until heated through.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste. For extra heat, add more red pepper flakes. Substitute half-and-half for a lighter sauce.
