A vibrant and flavorful flatbread topped with tender seasoned chicken, creamy tzatziki sauce, crisp cucumbers, juicy tomatoes, and tangy red onion. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a crowd-pleasing appetizer.
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil, divided
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 large flatbreads or naan
- 1/2 cup tzatziki sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 medium cucumber, thinly sliced
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese (optional)
- Fresh dill or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a bowl, toss chicken slices with 1 tbsp olive oil, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Heat remaining 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken until golden and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Place flatbreads on a baking sheet. Warm in the oven for 3-4 minutes until slightly crispy.
- Spread a generous layer of tzatziki sauce over each flatbread.
- Top with cooked chicken, cucumber slices, cherry tomatoes, and red onion. Sprinkle feta cheese if using.
- Return to oven and bake for 5-7 minutes until heated through and edges are golden.
- Garnish with fresh dill or parsley. Cut into wedges and serve immediately.
Notes
You can customize the seasonings to taste. For a vegetarian version, substitute chicken with grilled halloumi or extra veggies.
