Description

A delightful appetizer featuring creamy cheese balls studded with sweet cranberries and crunchy pistachios, drizzled with honey for a perfect sweet-savory bite.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup shelled pistachios, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon honey (plus more for drizzling)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup shelled pistachios, chopped (for coating)


Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, dried cranberries, finely chopped pistachios, 1 tablespoon honey, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.
  2. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  3. Using your hands, roll the cheese mixture into 1-inch balls.
  4. Place the 1/2 cup chopped pistachios on a shallow plate. Roll each cheese ball in the pistachios to coat evenly.
  5. Transfer to a serving platter. Drizzle with additional honey just before serving.
  6. Serve with crackers or sliced apples. Enjoy!

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste. For a sweeter version, add a pinch of cinnamon. These cheese balls can be made ahead and refrigerated for up to 2 days.
