Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup dried cranberries, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup shelled pistachios, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon honey (plus more for drizzling)
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup shelled pistachios, chopped (for coating)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, dried cranberries, finely chopped pistachios, 1 tablespoon honey, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
- Using your hands, roll the cheese mixture into 1-inch balls.
- Place the 1/2 cup chopped pistachios on a shallow plate. Roll each cheese ball in the pistachios to coat evenly.
- Transfer to a serving platter. Drizzle with additional honey just before serving.
- Serve with crackers or sliced apples. Enjoy!
Notes
You can customize the seasonings to taste. For a sweeter version, add a pinch of cinnamon. These cheese balls can be made ahead and refrigerated for up to 2 days.
