Description

A delicious twist on traditional stuffing, these savory turkey and cranberry balls are baked to golden perfection. Perfect as a side dish for Thanksgiving or as a hearty appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 2 cups bread stuffing mix
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking sheet or line with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, stuffing mix, dried cranberries, beaten egg, onion, celery, garlic, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix gently but thoroughly.
  3. Pour chicken broth over the mixture and stir until well combined. Let sit for 5 minutes to allow the stuffing to absorb the liquid.
  4. Shape the mixture into 12 equal balls, about 1.5 inches in diameter.
  5. Place the balls on the prepared baking sheet. Brush each ball lightly with olive oil.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the balls are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature reaches 165°F).
  7. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste. For a richer flavor, use sausage instead of ground turkey or add a tablespoon of melted butter to the mixture.
