Description
A gourmet pizza featuring creamy Brie, sweet-tart cranberry sauce, and deeply caramelized onions on a crispy crust. Perfect for a cozy night in.
Ingredients
- 1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 8 ounces Brie cheese, sliced
- 1/2 cup cranberry sauce (whole berry or smooth)
- 1 cup fresh cranberries (optional, for garnish)
- 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze (optional)
- Fresh thyme leaves (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to preheat.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium-low heat. Add sliced onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until deeply caramelized and golden brown, about 25-30 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Roll out pizza dough on a floured surface to desired thickness. Transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet or pizza peel.
- Spread cranberry sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border. Top with caramelized onions and slices of Brie.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until crust is golden and cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from oven and drizzle with balsamic glaze if desired. Garnish with fresh cranberries and thyme. Slice and serve hot.
