A moist chocolate cake filled with gooey marshmallow cream and topped with fluffy frosting for a decadent dessert.
Ingredients
- 1 box chocolate cake mix (plus required ingredients: eggs, oil, water)
- 1 cup marshmallow cream
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Mini marshmallows for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare chocolate cake mix according to package directions and bake in a 9×13-inch pan until a toothpick inserted comes out clean, about 25-30 minutes.
- While cake is warm, use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the top. In a bowl, whisk together marshmallow cream and sweetened condensed milk until smooth, then pour evenly over the cake, allowing it to seep into the holes.
- Let cake cool completely to room temperature. In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form, then spread over the cooled cake. Garnish with mini marshmallows if desired before serving.
