Description
A decadent frozen dessert featuring layers of chocolate chip cookie dough, vanilla ice cream, and a chocolate ganache topping.
Ingredients
- 1 package (16 oz) refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
- 1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream, softened
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips for garnish
- Whipped cream for serving
Instructions
- Press the chocolate chip cookie dough into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even crust.
- Spread the softened vanilla ice cream over the cookie dough layer, smoothing the top. Freeze for 2 hours or until firm.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the heavy cream until steaming. Pour over the semi-sweet chocolate chips and let sit for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth to make ganache.
- Pour the ganache over the frozen ice cream layer and sprinkle with mini chocolate chips. Freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Before serving, let the cake sit at room temperature for 10 minutes. Release from the pan, slice, and top with whipped cream.
