Description
A quick and easy taco recipe with seasoned ground beef, diced tomatoes and green chilies (Rotel), and melted cheese, all served in crispy taco shells.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 can Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies (10 oz)
- 1 packet taco seasoning mix
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 8 taco shells (hard or soft)
- 1/4 cup water
- Optional toppings: diced onion, lettuce, tomato, sour cream
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, breaking it into crumbles.
- Drain excess grease, then add Rotel, taco seasoning, and water. Stir to combine.
- Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Heat taco shells according to package directions.
- Spoon the beef mixture into taco shells and top generously with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Add any additional toppings as desired and serve immediately.
Notes
You can customize the seasonings to taste. For extra spice, use a hot Rotel or add diced jalapeños.
