Description

A delightful combination of creamy brie, sweet-tart strawberry jam, spicy hot honey, crunchy walnuts, and aromatic fresh thyme atop crispy toasted baguette slices. Perfect as an elegant appetizer or a sophisticated snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch thick rounds
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 oz brie cheese, rind removed and sliced thinly
  • 1/2 cup rich strawberry jam
  • 1/4 cup hot honey
  • 1/3 cup walnut pieces, toasted and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush both sides with olive oil. Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Bake the bread for 5-7 minutes, then flip and bake another 3-5 minutes, until golden and crisp. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
  3. Spread each crostini with a generous layer of brie, then top with a spoonful of strawberry jam.
  4. Drizzle hot honey over each crostini, then sprinkle with chopped walnuts and fresh thyme leaves.
  5. Serve immediately while crostini are warm and crisp.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste. For a milder heat, use regular honey mixed with a pinch of cayenne.
