Description
A moist chocolate cake with holes poked and filled with marshmallow cream, topped with fluffy frosting for a decadent dessert.
Ingredients
- 1 box chocolate cake mix (plus required ingredients: eggs, oil, water)
- 1 jar (7 oz) marshmallow cream
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Chocolate sprinkles for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare chocolate cake mix as directed on box and bake in a 9×13-inch pan until a toothpick inserted comes out clean, about 28-32 minutes.
- Let cake cool for 10 minutes. Use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the cake, about 1 inch apart.
- In a bowl, whisk together marshmallow cream and sweetened condensed milk until smooth. Pour mixture over cake, spreading to fill holes.
- In another bowl, beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form. Spread whipped cream frosting over cake.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set. Garnish with chocolate sprinkles if desired before serving.
