Description

A moist and flavorful cake packed with ripe bananas, crunchy pecans, and a rich caramel drizzle, perfect for dessert or a sweet treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce, for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the mashed bananas, buttermilk, and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Fold in the chopped pecans.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.
