A fresh twist on the classic Caprese salad, featuring juicy strawberries, creamy mozzarella, and a sweet balsamic glaze.
Ingredients
- 1 pint fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 8 ounces fresh mozzarella balls, halved or sliced
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, torn
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, honey, and olive oil until well combined. Season with salt and pepper.
- Arrange sliced strawberries and mozzarella on a serving platter, alternating them and slightly overlapping.
- Scatter torn basil leaves over the top.
- Drizzle the balsamic dressing evenly over the salad.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
You can customize the seasonings to taste. For extra sweetness, add a pinch of sugar to the dressing.
