Description

A fresh twist on the classic Caprese salad, featuring juicy strawberries, creamy mozzarella, and a sweet balsamic glaze.


Ingredients

  • 1 pint fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 8 ounces fresh mozzarella balls, halved or sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, torn
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, honey, and olive oil until well combined. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Arrange sliced strawberries and mozzarella on a serving platter, alternating them and slightly overlapping.
  3. Scatter torn basil leaves over the top.
  4. Drizzle the balsamic dressing evenly over the salad.
  5. Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste. For extra sweetness, add a pinch of sugar to the dressing.
