Description
A delightful warm dessert or appetizer featuring juicy pears baked with tart cranberries, crunchy walnuts, sweet honey and creamy blue cheese.
Ingredients
- 4 firm but ripe Bosc pears, halved and cored
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/3 cup crumbled blue cheese
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
- Arrange pear halves cut-side up in the prepared dish.
- In a small bowl, mix dried cranberries, chopped walnuts, and crumbled blue cheese.
- Spoon the cranberry mixture onto each pear half, pressing lightly.
- Drizzle honey over the pears and sprinkle with cinnamon and a pinch of salt.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until pears are tender and filling is bubbly.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Serve warm.
Notes
You can customize the seasonings to taste. For extra crunch, add more walnuts or swap blue cheese for goat cheese.
