Description

A delightful and elegant dessert featuring sweet baked pears, tart berries, crunchy walnuts, creamy blue cheese, and a drizzle of honey. Perfect for a cozy dinner party or a simple yet impressive treat.

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe but firm pears, halved and cored
  • 1 cup mixed berries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish large enough to hold the pear halves in a single layer.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the honey, lemon juice, and ground cinnamon. Mix well.
  3. Place the pear halves cut-side up in the prepared baking dish. Brush the cut sides with the melted butter, then drizzle half of the honey mixture over the pears.
  4. Bake the pears for 20 minutes, then remove from the oven. Sprinkle the berries, walnuts, and crumbled blue cheese evenly over and around the pears. Drizzle the remaining honey mixture on top.
  5. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes, until the pears are tender and the cheese is slightly melted. Serve warm, spooning any pan juices over the top.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste. For extra richness, add a splash of balsamic vinegar or a sprinkle of thyme before baking.
