Ingredients
- 4 cod fillets (about 6 oz each)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
- Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, parsley, and dill (if using).
- Place the cod fillets in the prepared baking dish. Pour the butter mixture evenly over the fillets.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork. Cooking time may vary based on thickness.
- Serve immediately, spooning any extra butter sauce from the dish over the fish.
