Ingredients
- 4 (6-ounce) cod fillets
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
- Lemon slices (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, and pepper.
- Place cod fillets in the prepared baking dish. Pour the butter mixture evenly over the fillets.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until fish flakes easily with a fork and is opaque throughout.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon slices.
Notes
You can customize the seasonings to taste. For added flavor, sprinkle with paprika or red pepper flakes before baking.
