Description

Flaky, tender cod fillets baked with a zesty lemon-garlic butter sauce, perfect for a quick and elegant dinner.


Ingredients

  • 4 (6-ounce) cod fillets
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • Lemon slices (for serving)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place cod fillets in the prepared baking dish. Pour the butter mixture evenly over the fillets.
  4. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until fish flakes easily with a fork and is opaque throughout.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon slices.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste. For added flavor, sprinkle with paprika or red pepper flakes before baking.
