Description

A creamy, warm baked brie nestled in a rustic bread bowl, topped with tangy cranberry sauce and fresh thyme. Perfect for holiday gatherings or cozy appetizers.

Ingredients

  • 1 round rustic bread (about 1 pound)
  • 1 (8-ounce) wheel of brie cheese
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves, plus extra for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons honey (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice off the top quarter of the bread and hollow out the inside, leaving a 1-inch thick shell. Cube the removed bread into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Place the brie wheel inside the bread bowl. If needed, trim the brie to fit. Spread cranberry sauce over the top of the brie.
  3. Sprinkle with fresh thyme leaves and drizzle with honey if using. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Brush the bread bowl edges and the cubed bread pieces with olive oil. Place the filled bread bowl and the cubed pieces on a baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the brie is melted and gooey and the bread is toasted. Garnish with additional thyme before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste. Serve with the toasted bread cubes for dipping.
